12.25.09 - Intermission: Meet the Crew and the Christmas on the Road

Meet the Crew!

In Exmortus -
Mario (drums) - Gandalf
Daniel/me(bass) - Frodo Baggins
Balmore (vocals/guitars) -Peregrin “Pippin” Took
Conan (guitars/vocals) - Aragorn

In Vektor -
Blake (drums) - Legolas
David (vocals/guitars) - Boromir

Ryan (everything) - Gimli

And we are the Fellowship of the Tour! Haha!

Today is our first day off. Yay!

We all decided it be cool to get a hotel today so we drove to one along the way. But we wanted to wait till the morning to get one so we have all of the next to use it. Smart, I know! Haha!

When I woke up my throat was completely locked up and I don’t even know how I was breathing in my sleep. Around 10ish we were all roused up and we got our rooms, to which of course, we were all eternally grateful. But some of interest that should be pointed out is, when we all went to sleep that night everything outside was a little wet. When we woke up EVERYTHING was frozen over. The entire parking lot was a huge skating ring. And left side of the van was covered in a solid sheet of ice. It was pretty wicked!

Extremely cautious, all of us managed to make it inside without slipping on the ice. Our rooms were fucking awesome. Warm as fuck and comfy to boot. We all showered and just hung out with each other. Joking around, watching TV, eating Cup Noodles, shit like that. When it came time for dinner we all put our jackets on and walked to this truck stop a ways from the hotel. And it was there that we had a fabulous Christmas dinner. We were all competently satisfied and left full. This marks a lot of our first Christmas’ away from family and home. Including mine. But it was worth it. I wouldn’t of spent it with anyone else.

No presents though. Cheap bastards. Haha
